Originally from New Jersey, Eric enlisted in the Marine Corps after graduating high school on 2005. He served as a 0311 Rifleman with 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marines and deployed to Iraq twice, serving a total of 14 months in county. Serving until 2009, he says his most notable accomplishment was graduating from the Infantry Squad Leaders Course, a course intended for NCOs, before he hit his two year mark in the Marine Corps. 

 

He initially joined the VFW through Post 679 in Glassboro, NJ and transferred to Post 10010 in 2021 after moving to Montana to be a wildland firefighter. Eric quickly became involved in community outreach and volunteering projects, organizing Post 10010's Day of Service since 2024.

 

He has a two Associates Degrees, a Bachelors in General Studies, and is currently working on a second Bachelors in Homeland Security. Eric is currently employed as a Firefighter/EMT for the city of Helena where his wife is a teacher for the Helena Public Schools. The couple have a young daughter with a son due in October of 2026.
